- Girls who have participated in Concentio for at least one season (2018 – 2019) may participate.
- What are the components of Choral Skills Class?
- One hour each week will be dedicated to the following:
- Healthy Vocal Production
- Sight Singing through folksongs, games and dances
- Vocal independence will be taught through rounds and ostinato patterns
- Confidence building solo singing exercises
- During the second hour each week, choral skills participants will join Chamber Choir rehearsal where they will
- Learn 2 movements of Anne Frank: A Living Voice
- Review repertoire from February Concert
- What are the benefits of participating in Choral Skills? Choristers who participate have the following opportunities:
- Invitation to audition for chamber choir (starting fall 2019)
- Participation in the Chamber Choir concert on April 28, 2019 at St. Paul’s, Mount Lebanon (4pm) (This is optional)
- Participate in the Anne Frank 90th Birthday Concert at Rodef Shalom on June 12 at 7:00 (this concert is being supported by Rodef Shalom and the Holocaust Center)
- Participation in Tour of Germany and The Netherlands
- Dates for class:
- March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
- April 5 and 12 (no rehearsal on April 19)
- Do you have to participate in performances and tour?
- Participation is optional
- Sign up for each performance will be included in registration form and is binding
