Auditions

Thank you for your interest in Pittsburgh Girls Choir! For seventeen years, we have been dedicated to creating strong communities of girls united by the desire to grow in musical knowledge, vocal/performance skills, cultural awareness and personal responsibility in a hard-working and fun environment.

We believe that every girl can learn to sing and do not reject anyone. The purpose of the audition is to help us place each girl in the choir which will enable her to thrive.

This experience will allow each singer to get to know the artistic directors in a low-pressure, large-group setting. It will also help the directors place each singer in the appropriate choir for the 2022/2023 season.

**Women of Song, our adult ensemble, does not require an audition. However, new singers should email the director at julianna@pghchoralarts.org to schedule a voice placement prior to the first rehearsal. Registration for Women of Song can be found on our Women of Song Women of Song (Fall 2022) web page.

*Girls entering grades 6-12 (Fall 2022) can find more information about choral placement preparation below.
